Comments:- The singer of Pizzaro is given as Richard Misske in the «EJS Discography» p.265,but I have been unables to find any further information about a singer of this name. According to Kutsch-Riemanns (Dritte erweiterte Auflage, Band 3 p.2389) Gerhard Misske was a member of the ensemble of the Stadttheater, Augsburg and Pizzaro was in his repertoire. Also, Gerhard Misske is stated to sing this role by Preiser.

The review in OPERA (June 1970 p.562) gives the date as 6 February 1970 while mr tape's catalogue gives 7 April 1970. It is probable that the former is the date of the performance while the latter is the date of the radio transmission.
