Comments:- Recording of a performance given by the MET in Boston (3 April 1937). This was performed in two acts but on the Naxos CDs these have been «bridged» into «musical continuity...as seamlessly as possible». In the CDs issued by Guild Erda's music (Weiche, Wotan, weiche...) as sung by Doris Doe has been replaced by a Victor recording with Kerstin Thorborg, conducted by Karl Riedel. Also, as on the Naxos CDs, the intermission has been removed.
